Abstract
Construction Grammar (CG) is a cognitive and usage-based approach which rests upon pairing of form and meaning constructions. The central sense in ditransitive constructions is transfer represented in a set of systematically related senses as a case of constructional polysemy. The main purpose of this research is to study the constructional polysemy in Persian ditransitive Constructions within the framework of Construction Grammar (CG) to investigate its representative variations with the central sense of transfer via different verbs. The data analyzed in this study has been gathered from newly published and popular novels, including 714 ditransitive constructions. The results of this study indicate that ditransitive constructions in Persian are representing via a network of constructional polysemy resulting from the interaction of verbs and constructions with all of the possible interpretations of transfer: actual, satisfactional, refusal, future, enabled, and intended.
